Unusual is a single-noted perfume company supporting eco-friendly packaging. Each box contains four samples of perfumes, each of a different note. Customers can combine any notes they prefer and experiment to their liking. Each note comes with a geometric symbol that refers to the shape of the fruit, leaves or petals incorporated in the perfume. Sample tubes are filled with solid perfume, requiring the product to be pushed from the end of the tube similar to a toothpaste tube. The “Unusual” tubes are made with biodegradable paper and once the samples are used the boxes can be planted. The paper of the box is embedded with seeds, which will grow into wild flowers or herbs once it’s planted.

Full-sized refillable oil-based perfume bottles for each sample are also available. The shapes of the glass bottles represent the symbol of each scent-note used in the samples.
